The Key to Success

"Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do."
Joshua 1:8 (New Living Translation)

We can never underestimate the power of God's word to transform our lives and bring us into the destiny that God has for us. Joshua was about to step into the shoes of one of the greatest leaders of all time, and God's will was for him to take them into everything he had promised. But before he gave him any kind of special strategy for taking cities or conquering the nation, he first gave him the key to his ultimate success

A New Spring in Wakefield

I am very excited to announce that from tomorrow (October 20th 2013) The King's Church - Wakefield will be known as NewSpring Church and will be meeting in our new facility in Ossett, West Yorkshire. It is the end of one era for our church and the start of an exciting new adventure.

The Family Business

When Jesus instructed his followers to refer to God as our Father, he was revealing something fundamental to our understanding of our relationship with him and with each other. You see God is all about family, and if you don't understand God's idea of family you will never fully enjoy your relationship with him, and what is more you will never enjoy the benefits of being part of his family.

Love Covers

"Then Shem and Japheth took a robe, held it over their shoulders, and backed into the tent to cover their father. As they did this, they looked the other way so they would not see him naked."

Genesis 7:23 (New Living Translation)

I once heard someone say about the church (and Christians in general) that "God's army is the only one that buries it's wounded."

Ground Breakers

I have just returned from an enjoyable few days teaching the full time students at Covenant College in Cardiff, before travelling to the Midlands to be with the students on the Covenant College weekend programme on Saturday.

It has been a real privilege this year to be involved with the course and meet some wonderful young (and not so young) people who are totally sold out for Jesus, and who want to impact their world.

"The mandate of the college is to produce men and women with a passion for the Kingdom of God, who will be pillars and leaders in the church. It will create men and women who are not just filled with a knowledge of the Bible, but who receive a depth of revelatory word that will transform their lives and the lives of others. Ground breakers, not graduates."
